DRAGONFLY
The Dragonfly is a superb river touring and wilderness
tripping canoe.
Previously offered by the Curtis Canoe Co. in the 80's,
the Dragonfly has been resurrected by Colden Canoe as
of April 2011.
Historically, the Dragonfly was an 80's combined class,
slalom and downriver, racer and was recognized as one
of the top competitors at the 1984 ACA Nationals.
"the Dragonfly...represents one of the most efficient
dual-purpose canoes we paddled. You can satisfy your
competitive urges with a run through the rapids, then split for
an outing with camping gear. Its spritely rough-water handling
and load carrying seems to do it all." Poplular Mechanics Dec 1985
The Dragonfly's first official debut was in June 2011 at the
Western Pennsylvania Solo Canoe Rendezvous, which
featured a "Dragonfly Reunion".
